David is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). The College came in to effect on April 1 of 2015 and will continue to move toward the regulation of psychotherapy.
David is a clinical fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently a member of the Ontario Division. David has operated his private practice in therapy since 1998. Prior to starting his practice, David completed his BA in Sociology at York University and his Master of Divinity at Tyndale Seminary.
David’s interaction in therapy draws from the perspective that people are physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual beings. You, and your issues, are considered within your larger circle of relationships and within the varied contexts of your life. David’s approach considers both your intrapersonal and interpersonal dimensions.
David has been married since 1983 and along with his wife, has raised four children. He was raised on a farm, worked in fisheries research, returned to work on the farm as an adult, worked in snow removal and decorative stone work, and worked as a minister prior to returning to school. David has lived in both rural and urban communities and has been active within community sports as player and coach. All of this has contributed to a life rich in experiences that enhances his ability to work with a wide range of clients and their varied presenting issues.
